to the always changing destination

planes. trains. cars.
walking. running. hitchhiking.
our bodies sore from hiking a national park and a mountain the day before.
but the adventure within us calls for more.
5 am, wake up. throw some clothes on. head to train station.
4 hours later we find ourselves in the small town of Seward.
where sea life is prominent and people are scarce.

with every coffee comes a cigarette.
with every beer comes a constant conversation.
with every new experience i know that there is no way i will ever be able to settle.
at least not in one place for too long.

the town of Seward is now a memory tucked away close in my heart.
from the train ride down there.
to the groovy people we met over coffee.
to the sea life center where we gazed for hours at animals we wish we could be at times.
to the mile long town, worn down, but art and old stories linger at each corner.
to the man who we hitchhiked off of to get us to a place with beer.
the alaskan amber that so happily completed our day,
while sitting on the shore
seeing the bluest glacier water
the mountains still with a light dusting of snow
wondering how the hell did we end up here.

blessings everyday
much peace and love
